Tri Century Mill

Carleton Place, Ontario
 

A landmark industrial building reimagined for modern use with 58 residential units, 30 for short term rentals, and 10 commercial spaces. 
 

This project required structural reinforcement, full code upgrades, elevator installation, security integration, and preservation of original architectural elements such as stone and brick walls, structural timbers and original hardwood floors. Careful selection of design features such as tin ceiling tiles, moldings, fillers and cornices, as well as salvaging timbers from the original mill as the treads of the grand staircase honour the heritage of the building while incorporating modern elements.

Barrion Construction managed permits, contracts, budget and scheduling through to occupancy.
